“With ‘Baramulla’, we wanted to tell a story rooted in feeling, but lifted by tension and mystery,” Jambhale said. “Kashmir isn’t just a backdrop; it’s alive. It breathes through every frame, shaping every secret that unfolds. We hope the audience can feel the heartbeat of the valley and the humanity behind the horror.”

Produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the film brings together a powerful creative team. Jyoti Deshpande, President of Jio Studios (Media and Content Business, RIL), described ‘Baramulla’ as a bold leap for Indian storytelling.

“We’ve always believed in stories that challenge the usual and break new ground. ‘Baramulla’ does just that,” she said. “After the success of ‘Article 370’, this collaboration with Aditya Suhas Jambhale takes us into a whole new world; one that blends emotion, mystery, and the supernatural.”

Producers Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar, known for ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ and ‘Dhoom Dhaam’, are equally excited about their reunion with Netflix and Jio Studios.

“This film ventures into a space rarely explored in Indian cinema,” they shared. “It’s thrilling, emotional, and unconventional. ‘Baramulla’ defies the rules of mainstream storytelling. It’s the kind of film that challenges, surprises, and stays with you long after it ends.”

Bhasha Sumbli known for her performance in ‘The Kashmir Files’ stars as Gulnaar, a character central to the mystery that unfolds.

‘Baramulla’ premieres on Netflix on November 7.
